A special look back at Kreekhuizen in Groot IJsselmonde. In this historic photo we see the opening of the system school at Biezenkreek on March 8, 1963.

The opening was performed by alderman Roel Langerak. In the school building at Biezenkreek 15 was the Petrus Datheenschool located.

The black-and-white photo was taken by photographer Ary Groeneveld and shows a piece of the development of Kreekhuizen in the 1960s.
