A special look back at Kreekhuizen in Groot IJsselmonde. In this historic photo we see the opening of the system school at Biezenkreek on March 8, 1963.

The opening was performed by alderman Roel Langerak. The Petrus Datheenschool was located in the school building at Biezenkreek 15.

The black-and-white photo was taken by photographer Ary Groeneveld and shows a glimpse of the development of Kreekhuizen in the sixties.
