For Rotterdam families with a low income, there is the Youth Credit. The Youth Credit is deposited on your child’s Rotterdam Pass. You or your child can spend the credit in dozens of stores in Rotterdam. For example on clothing, sports equipment, school supplies, or a subscription with the RET. For children aged 4 to 11 years, the credit is €300 per child per year. For children aged 12 to 17 years, the credit is €850 per child per year.
You can receive the Youth Credit if:

you are a single parent and your income does not exceed €1,735

you have a partner and your income does not exceed €2,475
-
you have AOW (state pension) and are a single parent and your income does not exceed €1,935
-
you have AOW and have a partner and your income does not exceed €2,650
After June 2026 these amounts will change. Then check at www.rotterdam.nl/jeugdtegoed to see if you can receive the Youth Credit. There you will also find what you must include with the net income.

The Youth Credit will be put on your child’s Rotterdam Pass. You can buy a Rotterdam Pass for €5. You can do that online at www.rotterdampas.nl Or go to the Rotterdam Pass shop, Halvemaanpassage 90. If your child already has a Rotterdam Pass, then renew it.

The money from the Youth Credit is on the Rotterdam Pass. Your child can pay with it at participating stores.

Spend the Youth Credit
The Youth Credit can be spent at many stores in Rotterdam, such as: Bruna, C&A, Decathlon, Footlocker, H&M, HEMA, Intertoys, Media Markt, Van Haren, Schoolasaurus, Superfietsen Rotterdam, or Wibra.
At www.rotterdam.nl/jeugdtegoed all participating stores are listed. Spend the Youth Credit before 1 March 2027.
