For Rotterdam families with a low income, there is the Youth Credit. The Youth Credit is deposited on your child’s Rotterdampas. You or your child can spend the credit in dozens of stores in Rotterdam. For example, on clothing, sports equipment, school supplies, or a subscription with the RET. For children aged 4 to 11, the credit is €300 per child per year. For children aged 12 to 17, the credit is €850 per child per year.
You can receive the Youth Credit if:

you are a single parent and your income does not exceed €1,735

you have a partner and your income does not exceed €2,475

you receive AOW and are a single parent and your income does not exceed €1,935

you receive AOW and have a partner and your income does not exceed €2,650
After June 2026 these amounts will change. Then check at www.rotterdam.nl/jeugdtegoed if you can receive the Youth Credit. There you will also find what you need to include in the net income.

The Youth Credit is loaded onto your child’s Rotterdampas. You can buy a Rotterdampas for €5. You can do this online at www.rotterdampas.nl Or go to the Rotterdampas store, Halvemaanpassage 90. If your child already has a Rotterdampas, then renew it.

The money from the Youth Credit is on the Rotterdampas. Your child can pay with it at participating stores.
Apply for the Youth Credit before December 1, 2026.
Spending Youth Credit
The Youth Credit can be spent at many stores in Rotterdam, such as: Bruna, C&A, Decathlon, Footlocker, H&M, HEMA, Intertoys, Media Markt, Van Haren, Schoolasaurus, Superfietsen Rotterdam, or Wibra.
On www.rotterdam.nl/jeugdtegoed all participating stores are listed. Spend the Youth Credit before March 1, 2027.
