On Thursday, September 10, there was a residents’ evening on the theme of rooming (renting a house or apartment to multiple tenants). During this meeting, the neighborhood council primarily wanted to listen to the residents: what are their concerns, ideas, and questions? Ed, Albert, and Maartje were present this time as representatives of the neighborhood council.
A committed group of residents responded to the invitation. Many personal stories were shared, and a good conversation got underway. Some of the problems were already known, but it was good that they could now also be documented on paper. It was clear that this subject stirred a lot among those present. It turned out to be a complex issue that involves many different aspects of society.
There are still three more residents’ evenings to come, with different themes and at different locations:
Tuesday, September 22, 7:30-9:00 PM: traffic and parking (location to be announced)
Wednesday, October 7, 7:30-9:00 PM: a clean and healthy neighborhood (Baroeg)
Wednesday, October 28, 7:30-9:00 PM: safety (Community Center)
You are warmly welcome and your input is greatly appreciated.
