The Walborgpad is known as the coziest path in the Beverwaard. Five years ago, Wil and Marion started a neighborhood BBQ. It was so successful that Rinus and Dies took over the organization. Together with the neighborhood, they first bought a large tent and later a trailer, which was converted into a mobile bar.

Meanwhile, the Walborgpad has everything: a BBQ, beer tap, refrigerator, running water, internet, and even a projector. This way, the path turned into a real pop-up restaurant where people regularly cook and enjoy together. This past year was festive as well: from decorating the Christmas tree and baking oliebollen to a spring party, following the Women’s World Cup, karaoke nights, smoking eel, and even a piglet on the spit. The highlight was the big BBQ in October, combined with an Oktoberfest where everyone participated in costume. For the residents, it’s not only about food and drink, but especially about gezelligheid (coziness) and togetherness.

Therefore, it is truly said: the Walborgpad is the coziest path in the Beverwaard!
