A beautiful look back at Reijeroord in Groot IJsselmonde. In this historic photo from July 1969, the then new nursing home Avondrust on Nudenoord can be seen. The photo was taken by photographer Ary Groeneveld and gives a special view of what the neighborhood looked like more than 57 years ago.
For many older IJsselmonde residents, Avondrust will undoubtedly evoke memories. Maybe a family member lived there, you worked there yourself, or you visited regularly.
Who still recognizes Avondrust and has memories of it? Please share them with us.
